The Cube
The basic architectural drafting conventions were understood by constructing a 3-dimensional massing model of a building form. The model's basic shape needed to be 75mm x 75mm x 75mm cube, and it needed to include one negative space and one curved or diagonal surface. The model was made out of foam core board entirely. The model was then used to explore various drafting concepts and projection techniques and different types of 3D drawings (isometric, axonometric, and 2-point perspective views). |
